CAPSES is pleased to announce the Board's 2019-20 & 2020 -21 officers. Ryan Eisenberg, Ed.D., has been elected to the leadership role of Board President. Ryan has served as the chair of the CAPSES Governmental Affairs committee, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership abilities.

Does your school issue Student ID Badges? If so, state requirements have changed effective July 1, 2019.

As the 2018-19 school year came to a close, many of Nonpublic schools and agencies received requests from their respective districts around "CALPADs" data and reporting on behaviors that "could have" resulted in suspension or expulsion. Previously, NPSAs were not required to work within CALPADs or asked to report such information. The State and some districts conducted training around what information was needed, and essentially NPSAs were asked to partner with districts and do our best to report information.

Over the last year and into this year, behavior reporting and data have been a big part of the discussions as it relates to nonpublic schools and agencies. The data collection requirements, for public and nonpublic schools, is a part of AB 2657 (Weber) and signed into law on January 1st, 2019.
