Suzy is the Executive Director of Programs and Personnel of The Institute for Effective Education, a California non-profit organization devoted to implementing research-validated teaching methods in its four schools. She has twice served as CAPSES President; 1992 - 1994 and again from 2010 to 2012.

Background
Suzy is the Executive Director of Programs and Personnel of The Institute for Effective Education, a California non-profit organization devoted to implementing research-validated teaching methods in its four schools. These San Diego area schools serve nearly the full range of student talent, from severely disabled to gifted, and from age four to 22. Also, for over 20 years, Dr. Fitch was the principal instructor of Special Education methods courses at the Calexico campus of San Diego State University, from which she recently retired. Dr. Fitch is Past-President and currently serves on the Membership Committee and as the CAPSES San Diego Area Region Representative.
